The state of Mato Grosso is currently the largest producer of soybeans and corn in the country, however have faced many logistical problems such as low static capacity, unable to store all production; to too much distance from the main ports of grain shipper; deficient road network and the lack of alternatives for rail and waterway modes. In this context, the aim of this study was to evaluate the logistics issue of storage units and the flow of grain in the Middle northern Mato Grosso, for it was utilized literature and data of specialized agencies on the subject, where it conducted a detailed survey of the main problems, causes, costs involving the entire logistics process of grain in the region. It was found that all municipalities in the region under study, face problems to store the annual production, added to this fact, the region has only BR-163 highway and exit route of these grains for both the southern ports and southeast, as for the northern region. The problem is even greater, because in direction to Pará, this highway is in poor condition, making many times this output as unfeasible. Thus, the Federal Government launched the Investment Program in Logistics, which has projects that influence positively runoff grains in this region and make the grains of the most competitive region in the external market, as the government's idea is that the outflow these grains is to the north of the country. However, it was found in this study that some of these works has struggled to get off the ground, and that the current reality is that the cost of freight is 20 and 30% for soybeans and 50 to 60% for corn over final cost of the product.
