Resumo: The development of bean plants can be promoted by diazotrophic bacteria, but the selection of efficient, competitive and adapted strains to the growing conditions is necessary. The aim of this study was to evaluate the capacity of associative diazotrophic bacteria to promote the development of common bean plants. An experiment was carried out in a greenhouse using pots with unsterilized soil. The seeds of carioca bean (Anfc5) were inoculated with the bacterial treatments, as follows: T1. Witness (uninoculated), T2. Azospirillum brasilense Sp7 (BR11001), T3. A. brasilense (Ab-V5), T4. Isolated MS32 and T5. Isolated MS52. A completely randomized design was used, with 8 replications. Seedling emergence, leaf ClorofiLOG index were evaluated at 3 different times, and at full flowering stage (R6), morphological aspects of bean plants and density of associative diazotrophic bacteria in rhizospheric soil were evaluated. The data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance at 5% probability and for significant variables, the means were compared by the skott-knott test at 5% probability. Treatment with isolate MS52 inhibited bean seed emergence. No significant differences were observed in the morphological parameters evaluated. It was observed the formation of nodulesin the roots and the occurrence of diazotrophic bacteria associated with the rhizosphere of all plants, including the uninoculated control plants.

Azospirillum brasilense Sp7 (BR11001), T3. A. brasilense (Ab-V5), T4. Isolado MS32 e T5. Isolado MS52.
