This work analyzes the journalistic coverage of the crime that led to the death of the socio-educational agent, Alexandre Miyagawa, having as its author the councilor and lieutenant colonel of the Military Police (PM-MT), Marcos Paccola (Republicanos). The homicide that became known as the 'Paccola case' constitutes a cyber event, it emerges and circulates, received, on social networks - WhatsApp and Instagram - until it is transformed into a journalistic event by news vehicles. The empirical object of the study consists of 52 articles published between July 1st and October 10th, 2022, by the news portals MidiaNews and HiperNotícias. The objective is to analyze how all this journalistic coverage and potential scheduling of the Paccola case was carried out in the news portals, using the methodological protocol of Journalistic Coverage Analysis (ACJ), proposed by researchers Silva and Maia (2011). For scheduling, the theoretical basis is based on the concept of MaxWell McCombs and Donald Shaw.
