Resumo: | This paper will address parental alienation, parental alienation syndrome and the implications of social distancing arising from the Covid-19 pandemic as a way to reduce the virus contagion within the family environment. And, in view of the need to regulate measures to help control the health crisis, there was a direct impact on the daily routine of family relationships, especially the right and duty of visitation, the exercise of shared custody and coexistence between parents and children not residing in the same home. Thus, this work has as its central theme: parental alienation and coexistence in a pandemic period, believing in the importance of analyzing whether social isolation has affected the regular visitation of parents and children who do not reside in the same home, as well as whether there has been an increase in cases of parental alienation or not. In order to analyze such questioning, it will be sought through theoretical study and field research, to verify the various issues related to parental alienation and custody during the Covid-19 pandemic period. The methodology used in the work includes bibliographical research, with analysis of works, doctoral theses, legal documents, and Brazilian legislation. With the theoretical study it was possible to understand which model of custody is identified as beneficial to parents and their offspring, to understand the difference between alienation and parental alienation syndrome, and to understand the advantages and disadvantages of children and adolescents living with their parents and family members. With the answers obtained in the field research, it was possible to verify that part of the general public is still unaware of the topic of parental alienation, the consequences resulting from it and even the sanctions that may be applied to the person responsible for the child who practices parental alienation. |
