Resumo: | Anemophilic fungi are living beings that live dispersed in the air, and may or may not be pathogenic. This work's goal was to identify quantitatively and qualitatively anemophilous fungi and yeasts in the labs of the Biological Sciences course of the Federal University of Mato Grosso, Rondonópolis campus - MT. The study was carried in the month of November of 2019, researching the following locations: Biochemistry Laboratory, Botanic Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory and the common area of the upper floor of block E. The collection took place in the morning and for that 20 sterilized petri dishes containing Sabouraud agar were used; 4 dishes for each location, being 3 for air exposure and one as control. The dishes were incubated at temperature between 27± 1oC. Over the course of five days, colony forming units (CFU) were counted and the identification of anemophilic fungi was based on the association of macroscopic aspects with microscopic characteristics and direct examination of the primary culture. The cultures that couldn't be identified after the incubation period were transferred to dishes with Sabouraud agar, to grow isolated until the production of reproductive structures that enabled identification. It was found 9 filamentous fungi genera, highlighting the genera Aspergillus spp., Cladosporium spp., Curvularia spp. e Penicillium spp. Several yeasts have also been found, which weren't identified. It was found that the outdoor area and the Botany Laboratory were the environments with the highest growth of UFC's.All laboratories had a I/E ratio below 1.5, which shows values within ANVISA standards. |
