The suicide behavior is a deliberated act that the person knows and waits in your in-tent the end of your own life. It’s considering the suicide behaviors as a grave prob-lem of public health because in your majority generate spent with hospitalizations, can be unable factor and the act in itself is carried of preconceptions and socials ta-boos that are morally acceptable in a society that promotes the life. The nursing is a profession exercise through the care that objectifies the organic reestablishment or a noble final to human body. Confront a situation that run away the rule puts the nurs-ing professional in contradictions, chocking yours opinions with the professionalism etic thought. In front of the expose the study had the objective analyze how the nurs-ing workers comprehend the suicide attempt. This’s a descriptive and explorative with quanti-qualitative board search, realized between the months July a September of 2014 with 38 nursing professional that are acting or acted in the emergency, hospi-talization, and ITU section in an interior Municipal Hospital in Mato Grosso. It was used as date collection method the application a questionnaire semi-structured. The study takes part of UFMT/CUA’s search group named Mental Health: an approach with health professionals, students, usuries and family, approved by UFMT/CUA etic committee n° 515/705. The results about socio-demographic show that 87% of the interviewees are female genre and 34% are between 21 and 30 years old. In front of suicide attempts cases, 45% fell yourselves uncomfortable in cop with this client pro-file, in spite of be able to identify suicide risks and offer an adequate care. In this case, the thematic approach is intrinsically connected to taboos. The difficult of the health workers about the theme must be rethought and worked as way of permanent education seeing an human approach by professionals to patients that attempts sui-cide.
