Resumo: | The solid waste from industrial activities have become the object of research in recent times, seeking its reuse in alternative materials. These residues need special attention because they contain in their composition chemical elements that can be harmful to man and to the environment. This work was to evaluate the chemical quality of bricks made from the soil-cement mixing with the addition of two types of waste. In the first test the bricks were produced with a addition of residue from turnery mechanical with levels of residue, weight of 0, 5, 10 and 15%. And for the second test it was used the waste of laminated glass used in the windscreen of vehicles, in concentrations, weight of 0, 2.5, 5 and 7.5% with particle size ranging from 75 and 150 µm and smaller particles than 75 µm. For the chemical tests were performed tests of leaching and solubilization according to NBR 10.005 and NBR 10.006, respectively. After the chemical analysis was performed the classification of material according to NBR 10,004 and concluded that the bricks that were produced from the residue incorporation turnery mechanical presented as non-hazardous, non-inert waste (class II-A), and the bricks of the same production that have not had thein corporation of the residue were classified as non-hazardous and inert waste (class II-B). The bricks that were produced from the residue incorporation of laminated glass presented characteristics of non-hazardous and inert not (class II-A). It was proven, after the results of tests performed, it is possible the use of residues of turnery and glass of the windscreen in the soil-cement bricks for confecções walls, if the physical characteristics allow, provided that there is an insulation in relation to the environment. |

Esses resíduos necessitam de uma atenção especial por conterem em sua composição elementos químicos que podem ser prejudiciais ao homem e ao meio ambiente. Neste trabalho teve-se por objetivo avaliar a qualidade química de tijolos confeccionados a partir da mistura solo cimento com adição de dois tipos de resíduo. No primeiro teste os tijolos foram produzidos com adição de resíduo proveniente de tornearia mecânica com teores de resíduo,em peso,de 0, 5, 10 e 15%. E para o segundo teste utilizaram-se resíduos de vidro laminado utilizado em para-brisas de veículos, nas concentrações, em peso, de 0, 2,5, 5 e 7,5% com tamanho de partículas variando de 75 e 150 µme partículas menores do que 75 µm. Para os testes químicos foram realizados testes de lixiviação e solubilização conformeNBR 10.005 e NBR 10.006, respectivamente. Após as análises químicasfoi realizada a classificação do material conforme a NBR 10.004 e concluiu-se que os tijolos que foram produzidos a partir da incorporação de resíduo de tornearia mecânica apresentaram-se como não perigosos, não inertes (Classe II-A), e os tijolos da mesma produção que não tiveram a incorporação do resíduo foram classificados como não perigosos e inertes (Classe II-B).Os tijolos que foram produzidos a partir da incorporação de resíduo de vidro laminado apresentaram características de não perigosos e não inertes (Classe II-A).
