Resumo: | The The general objective of the research was to evaluate the fabrication and mechanical properties of MLC using native species, determining the modulus of elasticity and the flexural strength of glued laminated wood. Two species of wood that were available in the timber market in the region of Sinop were chosen, the species are Trattinnickia burserifolia (Amescla) and Qualea spp (Cambará). 25 lamellae were acquired for each species, which were already sawn and planed, with dimensions of 1500x100x20 mm (length, width and thickness). From these specimens of 200x100x20 mm were extracted from each coverslip to measure the moisture content. Moisture content was measured after obtaining bulk density and MOEd and MOEe tests. MOEd was obtained by means of ultrasound wave tests, using the PUNDITLAB ultrasonic wave transmission device. The MOEe of the lamellas was determined by the 3-point static bending test, and 3-point static bending and 4-point static bending tests were performed to determine the MOEe and maximum strength in the beam. The main results found for Amescla beams were densities of 475.46kg.m-3 and Cambará of 679.62 kg.cm-3, with moisture content of 9.12% and 10.15%, respectively. The results of this work show that the MOEd and MOEe presented different results between the methods and between the species, being the MOEd from 30% to 39% higher than the MOEe. The average value of MOEe in the Amescla beam was 6081 MPa and in Cambará it was 5728 MPa. The average results obtained in the beams of the Amescla species were MOEe side A of 5659.84 MPa, and side B 5796.11 MPa, and maximum strength was 22.01 MPa, and for the Cambará species it was MOEe side A of 6420.76 MPa and side B of 5742.19 MPa and for maximum strength it was 21.67 MPa. From the results obtained, it is observed that the wood of the species of Amescla and Cambará are raw materials with potential for the production of MLC. |

Foram escolhidas duas espécies de madeira que estavam disponíveis no mercado madeireiro da região de Sinop, as espécies são Trattinnickia burserifolia (Amescla) e Qualea ssp (Cambará). Foram adquiridas 25 lamelas para cada espécie, as quais já estavam serradas e aplainadas, com dimensões de 1500x100x20 mm, (comprimento, largura e espessura). Destas foram extraídos corpos de-prova de 200x100x20 mm de cada lamela para mesurar o teor de umidade. O teor de umidade foi mensurado após a obtenção da densidade aparente e os testes de MOEd e MOEe. O MOEd foi obtido por meio de ensaios de propagação de ondas de ultrassom, utilizando o aparelho PUNDITLAB de transmissão de ondas ultrassónicas. O MOEe das lamelas foi determinado pelo ensaio de flexão estática com 3 pontos, e foram realizados ensaio de flexão estática a 3 pontos e flexão estática a 4 pontos para determinar o MOEe e a resistência máxima na viga. Os principais resultados encontrados para as vigas de Amescla foi densidade de 475,46kg.m-3 e o Cambará de 679,62 kg.cm-3 , com teor de umidade de 9,12% e 10,15%, respectivamente. Os resultados deste trabalho mostram que o MOEd e MOEe apresentaram resultados diferentes entre os métodos e entre as espécies, sendo o MOEd de 30% a 39% mais elevado que MOEe. O valor médio do MOEe na viga de Amescla foi 6081 MPa e no Cambará foi 5728 MPa. Os resultados médios obtidos nas vigas da espécie Amescla foram MOEe lado A de 5659,84 MPa, e lado B 5796,11 MPa, e resistência máxima foi de 22,01 Mpa, e para a espécie Cambará foi MOEe lado A de 6420,76 MPa e lado B de 5742,19 Mpa e para resistência máxima foi 21,67 MPa.
