Análise dos níveis de ruído em equipamentos de uma serraria no município de Sinop, Mato Grosso

The objective of this study was to evaluate the noise level generated by the equipment of a sawmill in the municipality of Sinop, Mato Grosso, and verify compliance with the regulatory norms of the current NR-15 legislation. The sawmill works with the primary and secondary debris exclusively of the Itaúba species (Mezilaurus itaúba), with most of the production destined to the local commerce of the municipality. Three equipment of continuous use and that are part of the daily workday of the workers in the sawmill were evaluated, among them an alternative saw that does the primary unfolding of the log, a circular sawing saw and a circular sawsaw that do the secondary unfolding of the wood. To measure the noise, a dosimeter of noise of the brand Instrutherm model DOS-500 was duly calibrated and certified. Four measurements were performed for each equipment, lasting two hours. After the measurements, mean values of Dose (%) of noises of each equipment were found, for the alternative saw was 78.03 dB (A), for aligner 101.20 dB (A) and 96.3 dB (A) for the values were extrapolated to an 8-hour workday. After the result of the dosimetry, it is concluded that thereis an unhealthiness in the sawmill and that the equipment evaluated, mainly the circular saws, generate high levels of noise in the working environment that can endanger the health of the worker, however, all operators use ear protectors with sufficient attenuation capability to generate a safe situation if used correctly. In question to noise the company is working in accordance with the current regulatory norm NR 15.
