Resumo: | The accumulation of waste in nature for the environment, plastics, packaging materials, motivated stocks and renewable sources of petroleum sources in the production of plastic materials. In addition biodegradable packaging, research boxes, sources, conferences, new properties have also been studied. Essential oils are part of the group of biological agents that, when incorporated in packages, are able to aggregate the antioxidant properties and / or antimicrobial activity, becoming active. From this, this work looked for extra-ginger starch and some plastic produced from grain starch fiber (AG) and poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA). To become the essential film, the essential oil was characterized by the presence of a matrix of the surface adsorption technique and the papers were characterized in relation to the index of swelling, contact angle and microscopic structure. The casting method is 1: 1 (starch / PVA). With the films dried, the essential oil of ginger was incorporated, thus forming the film with oil (FO). A control film (FC) without addition of essential oil was also produced. Transmission spectra in the infrared region revealed a presence of the CH3 functional group, the C = C bond and bands corresponding to free O-H. The adhered sands at the compounds of OEG and were also observed in the FO film. The water contact indicator of the films was shown to be dependent on a hydrophilic water surface, while the HR was hydrophobic. The swelling index after 20 minutes of FO, although it was lower, was not different from FC. Microscopic texture analyzes were used and plug-in GLCM and revealed that the active film presented greater textural uniformity and less importance when they were to the control film. The results showed that the incorporation of essential oil of ginger into the starch / PVA film was effective, as evidenced by infrared spectra that revealed common bonds between ginger essential oil and the active film. In addition, the characteristic ginger aroma was observed in the FO. Active ginger essential oil films were also more homogeneous than films made only with ginger starch and PVA. Therefore, OEG films are promising for use as active packaging, however, further studies must be returned to characterize them as important aspects for the application as active food packaging. |
