Navicular syndrome can be defined as a set of clinical signs and degenerative changes that affect the distal sesamoid bone of horses of all ages, especially those that perform sports. The equine locomotor system is composed of several complex structures that require biomechanical and anatomical interaction to perform its functions, therefore, disorders that affect this system, most of the time, develop with pain, lameness and impairment in the animal's locomotion, taking courses as an unfavorable picture to the sporting performance of athlete animals. The diagnosis of this disease is based mainly on the history and findings of the physical and imaging exam and the success of the treatment is based on the time of evolution and the intensity of the degenerative process of the distal sesamoid bone. The objective of the present work is to report a clinical case attended at the Large Animal Sector of HOVET - UFMT.
