Resumo: The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a legume that has a characteristic slow vegetative growth, thus making the plant more exposed to the environment, and consequently more prone to a large number of diseases throughout its cycle. Based on this information, the present work aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Pichia sp. and green propolis nosode, in the promotion of vegetative growth and in the germination rate of common bean seedlings, when inoculated with these products in the seed treatment. The tests were carried out based on the Seed Analysis Rule (RAS) methodology, using filter paper as substrate, with 7 treatments and 10 repetitions each, with the paper rolls kept in B.O.D at a temperature of 25 ± 2°C, with photoperiod of 12 hours. Theexperimental tests showed that the use of Pichia sp. and green propolis nosode in black bean seeds showed similar effects to the positive control products (Matrix G and RizosOG), in the variables, root growth, where the autoclaved fermented Pichia sp. 5% and 10% showed average growth of 14.68 cm and 14.23 cm, respectively. This growth was superior to the commercial product RizosOG which obtained an average growth of 13.57 cm. In the hypocotyl growth, the green propolis nosode showed an average growth of 14.25 cm, which was lower only than the positive control treatments. In the variable total seedling growth, the propolis nosode promoted an average growth of 31.15 cm, inferior only to the positive control treatments. Black bean seeds treated with Pichia sp. at 5% and 10% obtained a germination rate of 98%, which was lower only than the treatment with RizosOG, which presented a germination rate of 100%. In the trial with carioca beans, the tested products had no effect on the promotion of vegetative growth and on the germination rate. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that the use of Pichia sp. and green propolis nosode have an effect on the vegetative growth and germination of black bean seedlings.
