A large project such as the construction of a Hydroelectric Plant generates greater attention, either by the entrepreneurs who intend to build it as well as the population and with the Manso do Manso located in the state of Mato Grosso, was not different due to the fact also that the enterprise would have a great impact on its construction, due to having to flood large area, including having to allocate the population to another region as well as the fauna. In order to do so, this work aims to list the mitigating measures envisaged to avoid and / or minimize the negative impacts and environmental damages and maximize the positive impacts resulting from the installation, operation and deactivation phases of the Manso hydroelectric plant in the state of Mato Grosso. So, bibliographical research, site consultation and the licensing process of the manso Hydroelectric Plant at the State Secretariat of Mato Grosso - SEMA were carried out, where it was observed that for the construction of the respective hydroelectric plant, the Environmental Impact Study - EIA / Environmental Impact Report - RIMA, as well as a public hearing that resulted in the subsequent environmental licensing steps and a Conduct Adjustment Agreement with the company responsible for the work in which initially obtained 21 environmental programs that are monitored periodically presented to SEMA. The respective plant has met all the requirements for its proper functioning, through the environmental licensing issued by the competent State Secretariat for the Environment (SEMA) and that it is in the process of renewing the operating license before this same environmental body.
