Resumo: | The banana (Musa spp.) is a fruit highly consumed worldwide, being a rich source of potassium. Many studies have been done on how to increase your productivity without any loss of quality and increased use of pesticides. Thus, the rhizobacteria of the genus Azospirillum appear as an alternative, being mainly responsible for promoting growth through the fixation of nitrogen, besides acting as antagonists to diseases and exuding hormones responsible for plant growth. The objective of this study was to evaluate the agronomic characteristics of banana plants of the cultivar Nanica submitted to the inoculation of bacteria of the genus Azospirillum. The experimental design was a randomized block design with three treatments and four replications. The treatments were: AzoTotal® (commercial treatment), NC6 + NC8 isolates and control with sterilized substrate. The following were evaluated: plant height, plant diameter, leaf area, dry weight of root, stem and leaf. Positive results of plant growth parameters were obtained for the treatments with NC6+NC8 isolate and the commercial AzoTotal® treatment. For root, stem and leaf dry weights, no treatment had a significant response. |
