A relação público-privada no SUS : um olhar sobre a capacidade física instalada de Cuiabá, baixada cuiabana, Mato Grosso e Brasil

The study sought to characterize the physical structure within the SUS, for levels of care (Basic, Specialized Ambulatory Care, Support Services Diagnostic and Therapy and Hospital Care), in different territories. The research object was the public-private relationship in health, without attempting to judge the quality of services provided by these sectors, but simply show the participation of each of them, the physical structure of health services covered in territorial spaces. Although also use data from Baixada Cuiabana of Mato Grosso and Brazil, the focus of the study is the capacity of the SUS in Cuiabá, besides knowing how much it influence the structure of Baixada, and make a comparison to the state level and national. The study showed that in primary care public sector predominates, unlike other levels, where the private sector does, although it should only act in a complementary manner. The higher the density technology involved in service, the largest private sector participation. Despite the population that depends solely on the SUS be predominant in all investigated areas, there was a steady increase in the population covered by Subsystem Medical Assistance (SAMS).
