“Cuiabá cidade verde” : levantamento das áreas verdes no perímetro urbano do município de Cuiabá/MT

This study consists of the survey, identification and mapping of vegetation fragments (green perimeter) existing within the urban perimeter of the city of Cuiabá / MT, aiming to present the perimeter they serve with heat retention islands in the city. We identified 55 green perimeter, divided into the categories: Urban Parks (PU), Parks Peripherals (PP), Private Perimeter (PA) and Protected Perimeter by Law (APL). The characterization of green perimeter was performed using five parameters: "Identification", "preservation grade", "faces", "vulnerability" and "degree of vulnerability". Among the urban and peripheral parks identified in this study, there are two issues that are very obvious to the population, which are the "lack of security" and " lack of structure" in this research areas were identified listed by the government as parks (50%) but they are not structured, with trails, benches, toilets, and other equipment needed to receive the population, making their use impractical for leisure. During the consolidation process of this research there is a need for further development in the surrounding urban infrastructure Cuiabá, which suggests the insertion of new parks or green squares, unemployment and revegetation of riparian forests of streams and rivers, and encouraging the use of white roof and/or green roof, attempting to provide improvements in the quality of life of the population and decreasing temperature mainly in the central perimeter of the city.
