Resumo: | Due to the increasing intensification of cattle-breeding and agricultural systems, there is a demand for highly productive forage species, Panicum maximum cv. BRS Zuri is a forage that presents good productivity, vigor and good animal performance. Also, it’s tolerant to moderate flooding of the soil, but has better development in soils with good drainage and are demanding with medium to high fertility soils. The Entisols are soils found near the rivers and flat relief, whose natural fertility and texture vary depending on the chemical and granulometric nature of the origin material. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate the cv. BRS Zuri submitted to different water availability in Entisol (Fluvents). The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at the Federal University of Rondonópolis, in the months of july and october 2019. The experimental design was completely randomized, with five water availability of 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125% of the maximum water retention capacity in the soil and six replications, totaling 30 experimental units. The variables analyzed were: soil pH, SPAD, plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and tillers, leaf area, dry mass of the aerial part, dry mass and root volume, water consumption and water use efficiency. The collected data were submitted to analysis of variance by Fisher's test at 1% probability using the SISVAR 5.7 software. Water availability influenced the development of Panicum maximum cv. BRS Zuri with the highest results between 67% and 111% of the maximum water retention capacity in the soil. |

BRS Zuri with the highest results between 67% and 111% of the maximum water retention capacity in the soil. A disponibilidade hídrica influenciou no desenvolvimento do Panicum maximum cv.
