This work aims at the investigation of the human interest in reports from a humanizing look of the journalist to his source, who are ordinary people and who do not usually appear in the news with recurrence, and the use of literary resources to give depth to journalistic texts . For the accomplishment of this monograph, we analyzed five texts by the journalist Eliane Brum in the book The life that nobody sees, under the criteria of human interest defined by Luiz Beltrão, besides bibliographical and documentary research to construct the corpus of the research. In short, the presence of human interest in the reports of Eliane Brum, who moves the readers and breaks the dull journalistic style of the traditional media, reveals a new possibility of bringing plurality of voices to journalism.
