In nursing, sexuality has been related to taboos and prejudices, which is observed both in academic training and in Professional practice. It is at the moment of care, from the contact of the bodies of those who perform it and of those who receive it, that sexuality gains space to rise. However, when revealed, it may consist of a device causing mutual anxieties, uncertainties and constraints. In this sense, the obligation to reveal this theme during the nurses' graduation period is understood, considering that there are no spaces of reflection that deal with the sexuality of both Nursing students and the patient. This research had as main objective To analyze how the construction of sexuality during the graduation period of the nursing student. To reach the objectives, a descriptive, exploratory research with qualitative approach was carried out with the scholars of the Federal University of Mato Grosso of the Nursing course who were attending the last year of graduation. A structured questionnaire was used with open questions about the thematic sexuality. The data were transcribed and analyzed through the technique of thematic content analyzes, which gave rise to three categories: Perceptions about human sexuality revealing meanings; Differentiation between sex and sexuality; Experiences and feelings of nursing students regarding sexuality experienced in practical classes. The results of this work lead to the understanding that the academics have a knowledge about reduced human sexuality, restricting the definition of the theme to gender, sexual choice and pleasure. With this, it is essential to include human sexuality in the academic context, in order to have a development focused on the integrality of care, proposing a training that leads to an appropriate and quality assistance, since the understanding of the definition of sexuality, must go much more than a sexual act, so that these changes occur in the care and nursing care.
