Perfil dos egressos do curso de nutrição da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso no período de 2001 à 2014

This study was carried out with the purpose of knowing the profile of nutritionists who graduated from the nutrition course of the UFMT from 2001 to 2014. The data were collected by electronic means, with questionnaire application, then analyzed without Microsoft Office software Excel. The percentage of responses was 37.2% of the total number of graduates. It was found that this is a population composed mostly of women, aged 26 to 40 years and who have no difficulty finding their first job. Of the respondents, 7.1% have another degree. As for the postgraduate study, 8.2% were residing, 60.4% specialization, 24.7% master's degree and 6.6% doctorate, the reason for a continuation of studies for a need for professional updating. The vast majority are working as nutritionists (75.3%), especially in the area of clinical nutrition followed by collective feeding, being Cuiabá or workplace reported by most of the respondents. The salary range with most of the participants was from 2 to 4 minimum salaries and a workload of 30 to 40 weekly hours. The professional satisfaction in the financial aspect was classified as media and a good professional perspective. The great majority of nutritionists know some knowledge of public policies of food and nutrition, and a participation in organs and / or movements of social control for reduced. Both this study and the results are of great relevance for the development of action plans of improvements with a view to reinforcing the training and a practice of the nutritionist professional.
