Qualidade de vida de profissionais da equipe de enfermagem no setor de emergência com ênfase no período que antecede a pandemia Covid-19 : uma revisão sistemática

The nursing workers who work in emergency ward has faced situations that require reasoning and quick management with simultaneous actions. Due to the daily routine and overworking, the quality of life of these workers can be affected so as to impair their occupational performance and make doing tasks and assignments. The objective of this study was to organize a profile of studies already carried out about quality of life, methodologies, and the main evidences found in the studies that precede the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a descriptive study using a systematic review as approach. The search was carried out on the Portal Capes, from 2014 to 2019 (last five years) using the SciELO, MedLine/PUBmed, LILACS and Web of Science databases. The descriptors used was “quality of life“, combined with “emergency” and “nursing” in English and Portuguese languages. As a result, 227 articles were identified, of these 20 met the inclusion criteria determined and 15 were selected for the study. Therefore, the literature suggests that the acceptance of work contributes to the satisfaction index, while the overworking, the constant dealing with the people’s pain and suffering negatively influence the quality of life.
