Resumo: | The objective of this work was to evaluate the floristic and structure of the shrubby-arboreal component of a forest fragment in the municipality of Caraúbas in Rio Grande do Norte. For the development of this study, the vegetation of an area of approximately 53 ha of caatinga was analyzed, where 12 sampling units (20 x 20 m) were allocated, using the Entirely Random Sampling. All living arboreal-shrubby individuals, with (CAP) ≥ 6 cm, were sampled and the parameters, circumference at breast height and total height were measured. With the data collected in the forest inventory, the following indexes were calculated: Shannon-Weaver diversity (H'), Simpson dominance (C) and Pielou evenness (J'), as well as the other phytosociological parameters of the horizontal and vertical. In the results, 19 species were observed, in 17 genera, distributed in 9 families. The families with the greatest species richness were Fabaceae (09) and Euphorbiaceae (3). The most abundant species with the highest importance value index (IVI) were Cordia glazioviana and Combretum leprosum. The studied area presents low species richness when compared to other remnants of caatinga vegetation. |
