GERMINAÇÃO DE Vernonia condensata Baker SOB DIFERENTES CONDIÇÕES DE LUMINOSIDADE, TEMPERATURAS, CONDICIONAMENTO OSMÓTICO E SUBSTRATOS

Vernonia condensata é muito utilizada na medicina popular e apesar de sua importância são limitadas as informações sobre a fisiologia da germinação e propagação da espécie. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a melhor temperatura e condição de iluminação para a germinação de V. condensata, seu comportamento germinativo sob condicionamento osmótico e a emergência em diferentes substratos. Foram avaliadas as temperaturas de 25, 30 e 35°C na presença e ausência de luz. No condicionamento foi utilizado o agente PEG 6000 nos potenciais de -0,1 e -0,2 MPa, durante 24, 48 e 72 horas. A emergência foi avaliada em cinco substratos (sobre papel mata-borrão, sobre areia, sobre serragem, sobre vermiculita e sobre Substrato Comercial). As sementes de V. condensata se comportam como fotoblásticas positivas. A temperatura ótima para germinação é 30°C com início aos 9 dias. O condicionamento das sementes por 48 horas em solução de PEG 6000 à -0,2 MPa é recomendado por promover maiores valores de porcentagem, IVG e menor TMG. Recomenda-se que a emergência da espécie seja realizada sobre papel mata-borrão ou sobre serragem por ocorrerem maiores valores de porcentagem, IVE, TME, e maiores comprimentos e massa fresca das plântulas.Palavras-chave: Figatil, fotoblastismo, osmocondicionamento, planta medicinal. GERMINATION, PRIMING AND EMERGENCY Vernonia condensata Baker UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS OF LIGHT, TEMPERATURE AND SUBSTRATE ABSTRACT:Vernonia condensata is widely used in folk medicine and although its importance is limited information on the physiology of the germination and propagation of the species. The aim of this study was to evaluate the best temperature and lighting condition for germination of V. condensata, its behavior under osmotic conditioning and germination the emergence in different substrates. Were evaluated the temperatures of 25, 30 and 35°C in the presence and absence of light. The conditioning was used agent PEG 6000 in -0.1 potentials and -0.2 MPa, during 24, 48 and 72 hours. The emergence was evaluated in five substrates (on blotting paper, on sand, on sawdust, vermiculite and about commercial substrate). The seeds of Vernonia condensata behave like fotoblastic positive. The optimum temperature for germination is 30°C beginning at 9 days. The conditioning on seeds for 48 hours in a solution of PEG 6000 to -0.2 MPa is recommended by occur greater values of percentage, GSI and lower GAT. It is recommended that the emergency of the species to be held on blotting paper or sawdust to promote greater values of percentage, ESI, EAT and larger lengths and fresh weight of seedlings.Keywords: figatil, fotoblastism, priming, plant medicinal DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5935/2318-7670.v05nespa14
