The objective of the present research was to verify the profile of the graduates of the Accounting Sciences course of a university located in the interior of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. For this, a descriptive and quantitative research was carried out. For data collection, a questionnaire consisting of 45 questions was used, which included the respondent's profile and information after graduating from the course in question. Data collection was carried out in May 2021 and obtained 145 valid responses. After processing the data using the Kruskal-Wallis test, it was found that the bachelor's degree provided the graduates with better remuneration and job opportunities. The analyzes also showed that the university was important for personal maturation and greater responsibility, as well as the development of the respondents' cognitive skills. As well, practical classes (laboratory), case studies and knowledge provided by specific disciplines in the accounting area were fundamental for the job market. It can be noted that the graduates believe that graduation in Accounting Sciences has positively influenced their professional career. Such research will provide elements for a possible study in constant updating, in order to add value to the course.
