REFLECTIONS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PROFESSIONAL TEACHING FOR THE (RE)CONSTRUCTION OF TEACHING PRACTICE OF HIGHER EDUCATION TEACHERS

Resumo: | This work aims to reflect on the importance of didactics for professional development of higher education teachers and on the constitution of theacher identity, from an exploratory research on the evolution of didactics and teaching experiences over twenty years on the part of from one of the authors. The authors reflect on the importance of didactics for the permanent training of higher education teachers, understanding that the problem is relevant, since the number of teachers at this level of education across the country has been growing with the increase in higher education institutions ( IES) and along with that, there is a need for training these to act as teachers, since most did not have didactic-pedagogical training for this function. The authors defend the perspective of multidimensionality adopted by several authors today, when they understand that it organically articulates several dimensions of didactics (humanistic, technical and cultural-political) and reflect on its importance in the professional development of higher education teachers. |

Os autores refletem sobre a importância da didática para a formação permanente dos docentes do ensino superior, entendendo que o problema se mostra relevante, já que o número de docentes deste nível de ensino em todo país vem crescendo com o aumento das instituições de ensino superior (IES) e junto a isso, existe a necessidade da formação destes para atuarem como docentes, visto que a maioria não teve formação didático-pedagógica para esta função. Os autores defendem a perspectiva de multidimensionalidade adotada por vários autores na contemporaneidade, ao entender que esta articula organicamente diversas dimensões da didática (humanista, técnica e política-cultural) e refletem sobre sua importância no desenvolvimento profissional do professor do ensino superior.
