Resumo: | The present research aims to identify the main types of environmental pollution around the school caused by anthropic action as a means of sensitizing children about the importance of keeping the environment clean and preserved for future generations. This field research, the project was developed at the Municipal School Jockey Club which is located in the west of the municipality of Boa Vista - Roraima. Involving the participation of 14 students from the first year of elementary education I, in which a didactic sequence was worked out with five activities. One of these activities was carried out in a formal teaching space. It was concluded that most of the students presented prior knowledge about the subject under study and at the end of the activities showed they are aware of the importance of keeping the environment clean and preserved around the school. |

A metodologia de estudo é a pesquisa de campo de abordagem qualitativa. Dessa forma, esta pesquisa envolveu a participação de 14 estudantes da referida escola, desenvolveu-se uma sequência didática com cinco atividades, tanto em espaço formal como não formal no turno matutino no mês de setembro de 2018. Conclui-se que a maioria dos alunos apresentaram conhecimento prévio sobre a temática em estudo e ao final das atividades mostraram estar sensibilizados sobre a importância de se manter o ambiente limpo e preservado em torno da instituição para as futuras gerações.
