VERSES WITH MATHEMATICAL ASPECTS IN DANTE ALIGHIERI'S DIVINE COMEDY

Resumo: Although there have already been many studies by various authors dedicated to analyzing the presence of mathematics in Dante's work, and in particular in The Divine Comedy, with great amazement, we realize that there is always some unexplored angle or verse that can still serve as an argument for reflection and study; the amazement ceases every time one reflects on the grandeur of the opera. Wanting to even briefly mention the different disciplines that constitute mathematics, it would be impossible to do so in a few pages; I therefore refer to other analyses of mine on geometry, logic and probability D'AMORE, 1991; 1993; 1995; 2020), and limit myself to two or three ideas on arithmetic

Queriendo tan sólo hacer breves referencias a las diversas disciplinas que constituyen las matemáticas, sería imposible contenerlas en unas pocas páginas; por ello remito a mis otros análisis sobre geometría, lógica y probabilidad (D'AMORE, 1991, 1993, 1995, 2020), y me limito a dos o tres puntos sobre aritmética y geometría.Sebbene moltissimi siano oramai gli studi di vari autori dedicati all’analisi della presenza della matematica nell’opera di Dante e in particolare nella Divina Commedia, con grande stupore ci si accorge che esiste sempre qualche angolo inesplorato o qualche verso che può ancora fornire argomento di riflessione e di studio; lo stupore cessa ogni volta, quando si riflette sulla grandezza dell’opera.
