The present work was conceived from the studies and researches raised in the discipline entitled Learning Objects applied to the Teaching of Exact and Natural Sciences of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program, of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) from the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. The research aimed to evaluate the pedagogical and cognitive potentialities of learning objects (LO) for the teaching of exact and natural sciences in Basic Education and was methodologically guided by the assumptions of the qualitative exploratory research approach, developed from the evaluation of the pedagogical and cognitive potentialities of  LO with the participation of a group composed  of 15 (fifteen) student teachers of the discipline, the analysis of the results was carried out using a questionnaire. It is noteworthy that the work was based on the theoretical assumptions of significant ausubelian learning and theoretical contributions that underlie the use of digital LO and Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC). Through this study, it was possible to perceive evidence related to the theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the evaluation of digital tools that enables the help of teachers and students in the process of teaching and learning in a reflexive way, as well as, checking how the implications of their use in the teaching of Exact and Natural Sciences.
