Resumo: The present work aims to highlight the cognitive articulations between the areas of Natural Sciences and Ethnobotany in the educational scenario of Science teaching in Brazil. The methodological proposal came from the students' knowledge and extended to the families, who expressed different categories of uses of the plants, derived from knowledge and culture, reinforcing the proposal to bring cultural and environmental diversity into the school curriculum.
