TEACHING OF ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS WITH AID OF A PHET SIMULATOR

Resumo: | The exact and natural sciences face several difficulties in teaching some concepts. A prominent area is electrical circuits that carry problems with understanding the functionality of some components. Given this, this work presents an activity of electrical circuits with the aid of simulation, based on an investigative teaching sequence. After presenting the content, PhET's circuit building kit simulator is presented, showing its functionality and some examples. Students begin to design circuits and each has the freedom to insert the components assembling the desired circuit. Throughout the process, it was possible to observe the motivation and interaction of those involved with the simulation environment, where it stands out that eighty percent of those involved are completely satisfied and the others are partially satisfied with the script and learning, which is seen in their evaluation notes of learning. These facts put a close relationship between content, student and teacher, showing that learning objects are strong allies in the construction of knowledge. |

Uma área em destaque são os circuitos elétricos que carregam problemas de compreensão da funcionalidade de alguns componentes. Diante disso, este trabalho apresenta uma atividade de circuitos elétricos com auxílio de simulação, com base numa sequência de ensino investigativa. Após a apresentação do conteúdo, é apresentado o simulador kit de construção de circuitos do PhET, mostrando sua funcionalidade e alguns exemplos. Os discentes passam a projetar circuitos e cada um tem a liberdade de inserir os componentes montando o circuito desejado. Durante todo o processo, foi possível observar a motivação e interação dos envolvidos com o ambiente de simulação, onde destaca-se que oitenta por cento dos envolvidos estão completamente satisfeitos e os demais estão parcialmente satisfeitos com o roteiro e com a aprendizagem, o que é visto em suas notas na avaliação de aprendizagem.
