TEACHING ARITHMETIC IN AMAZONIAN TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLS (1873-1926)

Resumo: The article aims to analyze and typify the organizations of knowledge prescribed for teaching arithmetic in schools/institutes focused on technical professional education in the state of Amazonas, from the period of the Empire to the First Republic, with the creation of Schools of Craftsmen Apprentices. With this, the purpose is to answer the following question: How, historically, are arithmetic knowledge structured and classified to be taught in Amazonian technical professional education establishments? This study is based on the domain of Cultural History and for the analysis, methodological theoretical references are mobilized that are aligned with this perspective, such as School Culture, to describe and analyze the structuring of professional technical education in the Amazon, and knowledge to teach and knowledge to teach to characterize their teaching objects. The analyzes allowed us to understand that the technical professional education in the state of Amazonas is structured in a dualistic education. Given this, the organization of knowledge tends to organize itself in order to meet this dual teaching. In this context and over time, two teaching objects are systematized: knowledge to teach theoretical arithmetic and knowledge to teach practical arithmetic.~

In this context and over time, two teaching objects are systematized: knowledge to teach theoretical arithmetic and knowledge to teach practical arithmetic.~El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar y tipificar las organizaciones del saber prescritas para la enseñanza de la aritmética en las escuelas/institutos enfocados a la educación técnico profesional en el estado de Amazonas, desde el período del Imperio hasta la Primera República, con la creación de las Escolas de Aprendizes Artífices. Con ello, se pretende responder a la siguiente pregunta: ¿Cómo se estructuran y clasifican históricamente los saberes aritméticos para ser enseñados en los establecimientos de educación profesional técnico amazónica? Este estudio se fundamenta en el dominio de la Historia Cultural y para el análisis se movilizan referentes teórico metodológicos alineados con esta perspectiva, como la Cultura Escolar, para describir y analizar la estructuración de la educación técnica profesional en la Amazonía, y saberes para enseñar. y saberes a enseñar para caracterizar sus objetos de enseñanza. Los análisis permitieron comprender que la educación técnico profesional en el estado de Amazonas se estructura en una educación dualista. Ante esto, la organización del saber tiende a organizarse para atender a esta doble enseñanza. En este contexto ya lo largo del tiempo, se sistematizan dos objetos de enseñanza: saberes para enseñar aritmética teórica y saberes para enseñar aritmética práctica..O artigo tem como objetivo analisar e tipificar as organizações dos saberes prescritos para o ensino de aritmética em escolas/institutos voltados para ensino profissional técnico no estado do Amazonas, desde o período do Império até a Primeira República, com a criação das Escolas de Aprendizes Artífices. Com isso, propõe-se responder ao seguinte questionamento: Como, historicamente, se estruturam e se classificam os saberes aritméticos aos quais ensinar nos estabelecimentos de ensino profissional técnico amazonense? Este estudo se alicerça sob domínio da História Cultural e, para as análises, mobilizam-se referenciais teóricos metodológicos que se alinham a essa perspectiva, como o de Cultura Escolar, a fim de descrever e analisar a estruturação do ensino profissional técnico amazonense, e saberes a ensinar e saberes para ensinar com o intuito de caracterizar os seus objetos de ensino. As análises permitiram apreender que o ensino profissional técnico do estado do amazonas se estrutura em um ensino dualista. Diante disso, a organização dos saberes tende a se organizar de modo a atender esse ensino dual.
