Resumo: The human herpes virus, which causes genital and herpes, is responsible for one of the most prevalent public infections (STIs) that are sexually transmitted (STIs) in the world, these important in oral prison populations are an important environment for oral health populations, due to to the fact that they are exposed in the prison environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the seroprevalence and factors associated with herpes simplex type 1 and 2 infection in women from Mato Grosso deprived of their liberty. This is a mixed study, with a cohort and cross-sectional approach, carried out with data from a biobank containing information related to the health situation of inmates. A female prison of Tang MT held in a female prison of Tang MT, carried out among 20 data of socio-structured data was carried out by studies carried out by data of demographic data and composed by studies carried out by information obtained from the data of results of the composition, as well as results of the composite collection, as well as data collection results. laboratory analysis of serum samples tested for detection of IgG HSV-1 and HSV-2 performed at Instituto Oswaldo Cruz – RJ. The women in the study were presented with the help of SPSS version 20 software. Minitab 19. In the first presentation, presented in this dissertation as the first manuscript, the study of women of liberty in the period of 2019 was studied, self-declared mixed race, single, with elementary education, housewives with two to four children, detained for drug trafficking, with no criminal history and detention period of less than two years. In the cross-sectional approach, the second approach investigated the presence of the article against the herpes simplex virus type 2 in 50 women held in this penitentiary in 2016, with a prevalence of 80%. The third manuscript evaluated the self-reported reactivation of herpes simplex type 1 and associated factors in 121 women in 2018. The presence of antibodies against HSV-1 was observed in 55,3% of the women tested, being prevalent among those aged over 40 years of age, more than eight years of schooling, non-white color/ethnicity, without a fixed income prior to prison and with a partner. To assess reactivation, a bivariate analysis considering the self-reported perception of clinical manifestation with sociodemographic, behavioral and criminal variables was performed. In this evaluation, a significant association was observed with not using condoms during sexual intercourse (p=0.038). In the multiple analysis using Poisson's multiple regression with robust variance, the variable not using condoms (p=0.035) proved to be a protective factor. Taken together, these data corroborate the importance of prioritizing the access and quality of health services during the period of incarceration in prison, as well as demonstrating the need for effective health education strategies that consider the inequalities and vulnerabilities of this population, the in order to reduce transmission and the consequent risks and morbidities arising from prolonged HSV infection.
