Resumo: The purpose of this dissertation and a study of the political struggle and educational processes that occur in AMDAT, Association of former residents and descendants of the Third District. This is to investigate how AMDAT was formed, how is the training of this intellectuals, the challenges facing their community and political struggle goes beyond the mission of seeking to achieve common goals to the group because it has an educational role, since its members and their leaders acquire knowledge and develop political awareness, to address the political clashes that occur in the path to achieving the goals that aim at both. The objectives in the case of AMDAT, was the recognition of its history by the society, strengthening the bonds lost with the exodus of their community, after the flood of 1974, which dispersed the community for the cities of Cuiaba and Floodplains Greatand, finally, the struggle to conquer a space for the Association in the same location was the former neighborhood. Staking out symbolically their history of struggle. The political leaders pass on this learning dialogue with their peers, and dialogue that happens a dialectical process in which a democratic political education will shape strategies for the new directions of AMDAT. Through interviews with these leaders and some members of the community, has produced a profile to be analyzed ANDAT about what she really wants and can achieve. But something happened on this journey that is undermining the fight. A series of disagreements among its leaders almost completely paralyzed the Association and the struggle for community’s fight for their goals, the weakening of the struggle for cracks in the thinking of its leadership and pedagogical character that caught my attention to get this working. We understand that the way that AMDAT still has to go is hard and that is still up to deal with internally association with certain divisions that were formed by power struggles. If you fight will succeed, we cannot conclude, but by overcoming all these events that AMDAT can establish himself as a strong democratic movement.

Trata de investigar como a AMDAT se constituiu, como se dá a formação de seus intelectuais, os desafios vividos por sua comunidade e a luta política por objetivos comuns ao grupo. Esta luta vai além da missão de buscar atingir os objetivos comuns ao grupo, pois ela tem um papel pedagógico, já que seus membros e suas lideranças adquirem conhecimentos e desenvolvem consciência política, no enfrentamento dos embates políticos que ocorrem no caminho percorrido para a realização dos objetivos que tanto almejam. Os objetivos da AMDAT eram o reconhecimento de sua história pela sociedade, o fortalecimento dos laços perdidos com o êxodo de sua comunidade, depois da enchente do ano de 1974, que a dispersou pelas cidades de Cuiabá e Várzea Grande e, por último, a luta para conquistar um espaço físico para a sua associação no local onde ficava o extinto bairro. Demarcando simbolicamente a sua história de luta. As lideranças repassam este aprendizado político dialogando com seus pares e, desse dialogo, acontece um processo dialético, no qual uma educação política vai moldando democraticamente as estratégias para os novos rumos da AMDAT. Por meio de entrevistas com estas lideranças e alguns membros da comunidade, traçou-se um perfil a ser analisado sobre o que a AMDAT quer e o que ela realmente pode alcançar. Porém, algo aconteceu neste percurso que está minando esta luta. Uma série de desentendimentos entre seus dirigentes paralisaram quase que por completo a Associação e a luta pelos objetivos da comunidade. Esta pesquisa revela como resultado, a história por traz dos acontecimentos que criaram a Associação, a luta da comunidade por seus objetivos, o enfraquecimento desta luta por rachas no pensamento de suas lideranças e do caráter pedagógico que me chamaram a devida atenção para começar este trabalho. Entendemos que o caminho que a AMDAT ainda tem de percorrer é árduo e que ainda cabe a Associação lidar internamente com certas divisões que se formaram por disputas de poder.
