Resumo: | The objective of this work is to describe and infer the relationship through the concept of carnality, that unites horse and human, repercussions of this (co) relationship in this process of ‘humanization/animalisation’ (FREIRE/MERLEAU-PONTY) which enhances expressiveness, sensitivity, communication, socialization. This results in a meaningful self- assurance transpersonal experience, affection, experience, teaching-learning experience, and schooling improvements via equine-assisted therapy. We understand that the equine-assisted therapy is a therapeutic and educational action that transposes the culture of devaluing things bringing the sensitivity with the contact with the horse which changes the child and the therapist improving body knowledge as a bio-psycho-social meaning. The equine-assisted therapy is a therapeutic procedure in which the horse provides the culture of animalism to the interdisciplinarity/ transdisciplinarity. This therapy filled with exchanges of affection shifts the dialogue into a broader communication which includes the school, the family of the patient, exposing the path to body knowledge which brings new meanings to life, educational processes and the social inclusion of the child who undergoes horse-assisted therapy. The ideas suggested herein came from the sessions of equine-assisted therapy for children who leave most of the time their bodies and senses stranded by the abstract culture which stick more to signs rather than the heat of the symbolic. These children are kept at the outskirts of the standard schooling process thus reinforcing incidental physical and mental deficits since the curriculum for children considered normal does not provide body experience to the ones that are different. They study at state schools of Cuiabá and Várzea Grande – MT. The present study is still under development, and observations as well as the collection of data occur at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Mato Grosso and at Dourado Ranch (where the equine-assisted therapy project named “Four paws angels” takes place. This project assists people who are diagnosed as autistic and aims to assist and observe the development of equine-assisted therapy as a complementary therapy resource in the treatment of people with autistic symptoms. This project is coordinated by PhD Professor Lisiane Pereira de Jesus who also coordinates the ‘NEEQ’ - Núcleo de Estudos em Equoterapia (Nucleus of equine-assisted therapy studies) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Comprehensive and interpretive analysis display the contribution of equineassisted therapy, develop dimensions of relationships, sensitivity, motor, attention and experiences for children; this provides significant improvements to the physical and psychological aspects of people who undergo equine-assisted therapy, favouring a better life, expressiveness, upbringing and learning. For theoretical input it is being used the contributions of Merleau-Ponty and Paulo Freire with a dialogical concept which aims at bringing autonomy to the pupil in the educational process as well as ideas from other authors of great importance within the subject. |
