Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate the development of crambe (Crambe abyssinica) under four different levels of base saturation and four doses of phosphorus. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at the Federal University of Mato Grosso, with 16 treatments, wich consisted of four levels of saturation (40, 50, 60 and 70%) and four levels of phosphorus (0; 40; 80 and 120 kg ha-1 P2O5). The experimental design was randomized blocks in factorial scheme 4×4, with four replicates, totaling 64 experimental units. It was taken off a layer of 0,4 m of soil, sieved at 200μ and sampled for chemical and physical analysis. Based on the results, different doses of lime and fertilizer (phosphate super simple) were applied to the soil. Forthwith, five seeds were sown per pot and after 30 days, the plants were thinned out leaving two per pot. At the 80o day after sowing, the plants were collected and separated into aerial part and root. They were then dried, crushed and subjected to chemical analysis. The characteristics evaluated were dry mass of aerial part and root, concentration and accumulation of P, K, Ca and Mg in the aerial part, accumulation of P, Ca and Mg in the roots. The doses of lime and phosphorus did not influence the production of dry mass of the crambe plants. For the aerial part, the concentration and accumulation of phosphorus were higher at doses of 80 and 120 kg ha-1 P2O5, while the content and accumulation of calcium were higher at doses of 40 and 80 kg ha-1 P2O5, and the potassium concentration increased until the dose of 80 kg ha-1 P2O5. For the roots of plants, higher values for accumulation were observed for calcium and magnesium at base saturation of 50%, and, as were increased the doses of phosphorus applied to the soil, also was increased the accumulation of phosphorus, with higher values in the doses of 80 and 120 kg ha-1 P2O5.
