Reflexões acerca da política institucional brasileira e a sua repercussão sobre o crescimento econômico

The Brazilian institutional policy has an intriguing phenomenon: the lack of consistency in economic policies that is reflected in Economic Growth. Thus, the aim of this study is to build an interpretation of Brazilian reality related to the interaction of political and economic institutions and ranks them based on the results achieved over the years in Extractive or Inclusive institutions and its reflection on Economic Growth Brazilian. Inclusive institutions are those that encourage the participation of individuals in economic activities that make the best use of their talents and skills and allow agents to make choices freely. On the other winged, Extractive institutions aims at the extraction of income and wealth of a segment of society in favor of another. Economic Growth induced by both institutions have very different results, it is in this sense that the work assumes that the Brazilian political and economic institutions fall under the Extractive institutions classification whose stimuli are reflected in the Economic Growth of the country. The early studies are based on a historical research on the development of the political system in Brazil from the XVI century that aims to understand the basis on which were erected Brazilian institutions to which society these policies were directed and how Brazil has replicated over the years, the Iberian culture. Then developed a brief analysis from the Classical School based on growth theory that gave rise to Institutionalist School, whose tooling proves the hypothesis proposed in this paper. Brazilian institutions have extreme connection with extractive institutions, these institutions are primarily responsible for the extraction of the income of the most populous segment and lacking in favor of a minority or elite present in the country since the colonial period.
