Recent works in Architecture and Engineering for Health Care Establishments show a new reality by understanding and encompassing new precepts, such as humanization and ambience, in order to welcome the patient and transform the negative experience into something more positive. In line with Environmental Psychology, among other areas of knowledge, the planned health building is an auxiliary factor in a therapeutic proposal. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to a space that comfortably shelters its users, providing adequate safety conditions and generating comfort parameters. The initial idea of this research comes from a demand presented by health professionals from the city of Tupanciretã / RS to the coordination of the Maternal Professional Child Program / UFN. Thus, a technical visit to the city was conducted to survey the reality and demands in the context of maternal and child health. Given the information obtained and the support of the literature, the research problem was reached: what are the projective guidelines necessary for the planning of an Integrated Center for Maternal and Child Health Care (CIASMI), which can be implemented throughout the country. From this question, the objective of this dissertation was to elaborate conceptual guidelines for the planning of architectural projects of Integrated Centers for Maternal and Child Health (CIASMI), based on the principles of the Unified Health System (technical aspects) and on conceptions focused on quality and humanization of health care environments (theoretical aspects). To meet the proposed, an exploratory bibliographical and documentary research was conducted, in which key concepts of desired sensations were worked out so that the users felt welcomed in a care space. Results: construction of an article about the project of the Fundació Kálida, by EMBT Arquitectos, located in the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital complex in Barcelona, and the conceptual organization of eight guidelines for architectural projects of Integrated Centers for Maternal and Child Health (CIASMI), covering aspects of land choice, sustainability precepts, and differential points involving theories of Psychology and Environmental Perception. The applicability of the product: in order to validate the proposed guidelines, a draft was made for a Center for Maternal and Child Health Care (CASMI) to be implemented in the city of Tupanciretã / RS, using architectural concepts such as expandability, which is the forecasting areas for growth, according to new technologies and new hospital services, the flexibility of spaces in order to cater for different uses at different times, the humanization of spaces and sectorization by activities to give functionality to the set. Final considerations: It is emphasized that the suggested guidelines should always be reviewed, considering the need for updating so that the new buildings, intended for maternal and child health care, address local needs and innovations in the field of knowledge.
