Resumo: industry for the topical treatment of acne, and also skin aging. Several scientific studies confirm the effectiveness of PR in alleviating the signs of skin aging such as softening of wrinkles and improving the appearance of sagging skin. However, retinoids have serious adverse symptoms for topical use such as reduced skin hydration, prurience and local irritation. Apart from these adverse effects PR is a vitamin chemical unstable and may undergo changes in its chemical structure when exposed to ultraviolet radiation (UV) and heat. With the aim of reducing the adverse effects of topical application of Vitamin A and at the same time protecting it against chemical degradation. Nanoencapsulation is a possibility to stabilize and increase the efficiency of PR. The polymeric nanoparticles (NP) are vesicles formed by a nanometric biodegradable polymeric wall and anoily core, they allow the reduction of the dosing and also allow vitamin to act on lower layers of the skin and not just the surface as in ordinary formulations, this is because they act as drug delivery vehicles. The objective of this research was the development of NP quality and high stability they can overcome the superficial layers of the skin and reach the deeper skin tissues so that stimulates the synthesis of structural proteins, which during the process of skin aging present physiologically less activity and are responsible for the signs of skin aging . However, for the NP synthesized with these characteristics was conducted an experimental testing various formulations varying the amounts of surfactant, polymer and oil. After choosing the most stable formulation of smaller diameter and smaller size polydispersity of the NP containing the PR results were summarized and presented in diameter, polydispersity, and zeta potential similar to previously synthesized NP without the PR. The morphology of the NP containing the PR were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy visualizing spherical nanoparticles with size distribution close to the values obtained in measurements of light scattering . The level of encapsulation was of the order of 97.5% of the total PR used in the preparation of the NP. Moreover, these NP showed physical and chemical stability for a period of 120 days of storage after synthesis, and the testing of the NP permeation managed to overcome the layers of the skin and releasing the PR in the deep layers of the skin. Thus, it is concluded that the NP produced in this work have properties that allow for the possibility of use for the treatment of aging skin , but would require some toxicity tests to ensure product safety.

Submitted by MARCIA ROVADOSCHI (marciar@unifra.br) on 2018-08-16T18:25:21Z No. of bitstreams: 2 license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5) Dissertacao_RaquelMarchettiSparemberger.pdf: 3279182 bytes, checksum: 40d4f846480eed6bf16844f3bd8e0216 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-16T18:25:21Z (GMT).
