Resumo: | The golden hour refers to the first sixty minutes of a newborn's life after birth, also called golden hour, it represents a series of care, considered good practices that must be prioritized to qualify assistance in the first hour of newborns. born. Objective: to develop, together with the multidisciplinary team, postpartum women and companions, a protocol of good care practices during the golden hour. Specific objectives: develop a protocol of good care practices during the golden hour; implement a protocol of good care practices at the golden hour with the multidisciplinary team of an obstetric center; validate with the multidisciplinary team, postpartum women and companions a protocol of good care practices during the golden hour; promote good care practices during the golden hour. Method: this is a methodological study subdivided into three phases, definition of content and development of the protocol; content validation by health professionals and face validation by postpartum women and companions. The research participants were 71 professionals from the multidisciplinary team, 30 postpartum women and 30 companions from a large private maternity hospital in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Data collection occurred through an integrative review to create the protocol, presentation and validation through a questionnaire with professionals and semi-structured interviews for implementation and validation with postpartum women and companions. Data analysis and treatment followed simple descriptive statistics, the Content Validity Index was used for each of the protocol care and thematic content analysis. The study was developed from April to June 2023. It was approved by the Research Ethics Committee under opinion 6,022,118. All participants received and signed the Informed Consent Form and were guaranteed confidentiality and anonymity. Results: The health professionals who participated were mostly female doctors, with an average age of 38 years and had postgraduate degrees. Regarding the protocol, 94.3% believe that it is possible to implement, 100% say that it is a viable technology in all births and cesarean sections, however, some professionals are still unaware of the care carried out in the first hour and its importance. All items/care items in the protocol were validated and the instrument presented a total Agreement Validation Index of 0.94. Final Considerations: the golden hour care protocol is a viable practice in this context, in order to humanize and qualify care in the first hour of newborns. It helps professionals optimize the work process and promotes maternal and neonatal health. Product and its applicability: demonstrates a relevant impact by contributing to the process of continuing education of professionals in the multidisciplinary team, as well as raising awareness about the topic, instigating reflections and promoting good practices among companions and women in labor. The protocol as an instructional technology also has implications for the possibility of impacting the reframing of care in the first hour of life, by health professionals as they start to use evidence-based practice. Providing greater safety for women and newborns. |

Submitted by Clarice Rosa Machado (clarice.machado@ufn.edu.br) on 2024-03-25T12:05:23Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertacao_Denise Vendruscolo Ragagnin_TEDE.pdf: 2440159 bytes, checksum: eaec4034811e25db87efc4082e88e408 (MD5) Template_Denise Vendruscolo Ragagnin.pdf: 3497060 bytes, checksum: 4a51e868b6aa75a30f0556fb5b8cab43 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2024-03-25T12:05:23Z (GMT).
