Resumo: Introduction: The Brazilian Ministry of Health, based on the premises of the World Health Organization, has gradually implemented policies of reorientation of the model of the management and care for childbirth and birth, based on practices based on scientific evidence. In addition, it has instituted prospective guidance and qualification measures for the management and care network for maternal and child health. In order to contribute to this paradigmatic process, this study has as its general objective: Implement the São Borjense Mother-Baby Strategy, from the municipality of São Borja, Rio Grande do Sul, based on its own theoretical and methodological approach; and as specific objectives: Describe the methodological path from conception to the implementation of the strategy of Mother-Baby São-Borjense; and Identify contributions of the São Borjense Mother-Baby Strategy to the qualification of the local maternal and child health care network. Methodology: This is an action research, developed from conception to implementation of the São Borjense Mother- Baby Strategy, from March / 2018 to October / 2019, based on the guidelines that regulate the integral attention to maternal and child health nationally speaking, as well as in demands coming from the municipality itself. As a data collection technique for the identification and survey of relevant data, the focus group was used, with the participation of five (5) health managers, twenty seven (27) health professionals from fifteen Family Health Strategy teams and twenty-three (23) pregnant women from the maternal and child health care network of the municipality of São Borja, Rio Grande do Sul. Results: The São-Borjense Mother Baby strategy enabled the establishment of a new movement of attention to pregnant women, newborns and postpartum women in the municipality of São Borja, with a view to reducing maternal and child mortality indicators and, above all, the qualification of health care network of the municipality. It was possible, from a systematized plan of interventions, an unprecedented route from conception to implementation of the Mother-Baby Strategy, as follows: 1st Strategy Frame and agreements with local managers; 2nd Strategy Awareness - Identification of changes and possible solutions through focus groups with professionals and users; 3rd Implementation of the São Borjense Mother-Baby Strategy - professional awareness meetings, pregnant women meetings, strategic partnerships and, finally, the identification of the Strategy's contributions to the qualification of the maternal and child health care network in the municipality. Final considerations: It is concluded, based on the methodological path from conception to implementation of the São Borjense Mother-Baby strategy, that leading innovative processes and transposing traditional intervention models is only possible through the interaction, sharing and translation of knowledge and practices between academy 9 agents, managers, health professionals and users. The implementation of the São Borjense Mother-Baby Strategy contributed, in short, to the qualification of the local maternal and child health care network, especially regarding the relations and interactions between professionals and pregnant women and the (re) organization of the flows. and network intervention processes. Overcoming vertical models of maternal and child health intervention capable of reducing unnecessary and criteriafree interventions, as well as reducing cesarean sections and maternal and child mortality rates, today, requires more than ever, the induction of technological and innovative strategies that are consistent with local and regional demands. Product and its Applicability: The proposal “São Borjense Mother-Baby Strategy: from conception to implementation” is characterized as Innovative Social Technology, conceived and implemented, in the municipality of São Borja / RS, with the participation of managers, health professionals and pregnant women, based on a collective commitment to qualify the Management and Care Network for Maternal and Child Health in the municipality. In this path, the prospective and entrepreneurial performance of the professional Nurse, that complemented by other professional knowledge, was extremely important to articulate, integrate and synergize talents around a common cause.

In this path, the prospective and entrepreneurial performance of the professional Nurse, that complemented by other professional knowledge, was extremely important to articulate, integrate and synergize talents around a common cause. Submitted by ROSIELI LEMOS WOLPATO (rosieli.wolpato@ufn.edu.br) on 2020-06-03T18:38:45Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertacao_CamilaPintoMalgarimCoelho.pdf: 5642829 bytes, checksum: 5d32070b23880ef7d1ab1e13072deb32 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-06-03T18:38:46Z (GMT).
