PROTOCOLO DE ATRIBUIÇÕES DO ENFERMEIRO PARA UM SERVIÇO DE ACOLHIMENTO INSTITUCIONAL DE CRIANÇAS/ADOLESCENTES

Introduction: Shelters as institutional shelter services are ensured in Brazil by their own legislation and constitute a protective measure for children and adolescents whenever they have their rights threatened or violated. The nurse has important responsibilities in these services, both in the assistance dimension, as well as in the managerial, educational, social and political dimension. Objectives: general: Build and validate the nurse's assignment protocol for an institutional childcare service, from the perspective of complex thinking. Specifics: To know the responsibilities of the nurse in an institutional childcare service, from the perspective of educators, professionals of the technical team and professionals of the administrative area, and, Describe the steps of construction and validation of a protocol of attributions of the Nurse For a service of institutional reception of children / adolescents, from the perspective of professionals that integrate the technical team and educators / caregivers of this same service. Methodology: In order to meet the first specific objective, a qualitative exploratory-descriptive study was carried out between January and April 2017, with members of the technical staff, educators / caregivers and professionals in the administrative area of the institutional Central region of Rio Grande do Sul, from individual interviews with guiding questions. The second specific objective was met through a methodological survey, conducted between May and June 2017, with the participation of ten judges from the pediatric area, nationally and internationally. Results: The research data organized and codified by the content analysis resulted in three thematic axes: perceiving the integrality of Nursing care; Recognizing the connectivity of the Nurse in the multiprofessional team and identifying the social role of the Nurse. From the methodological research we obtained a return of ten instruments evaluated by specialists in the first and second round of the Delphi Cycle. Changes in the items and dimensions of the instrument were suggested in the first round. The instrument was considered valid, both in content and appearance, and could contribute to subsidize nurses' assignments in an institutional childcare service for children and adolescents in local and national territory. As a result of the research process, a validated protocol will be available to subsidize the duties of the Nurse in the institutional care service in question. Final considerations: It was concluded that nurses' assignments in an institutional childcare service are related to integral and integral care in the multiprofessional team, as well as to the capacity to interact with different social spaces. The validated protocol will serve to instrumentalize nurses professionals who act directly or indirectly in the care of children / adolescents in a situation of vulnerability and, thus, contribute to the qualification of institutional shelter services.
