The theatrical true in Stanislavski and Peter Brook: : a comparative analyzes of the concept of truth

Resumo: The dramatic truth is a matter that has been very examined by people who works with dramatic arts. This article operates a comparison between the theories of Stanislavski and Peter Brook about the conception of the dramatic truth, term usually used by both directors to refer to a one certain essential expressive quality to the actor’s work. Through an examinations of their methodological procedures, theatre conceptions and esthetics options, the aim here is argue where the both theories harmonize each other or not in the dramatic truth point.

Com o intuito de realizar uma refl exão sobre a questão da verdade teatral, este artigo opera uma comparação entre as teorias dos diretores Konstantin Stanislavski e Peter Brook, sob a ótica do conceito de verdade, termo freqüentemente utilizado por ambos para referirem-se a uma certa qualidade expressiva essencial ao trabalho do ator.
