Technical Professional Education: paths taken by João Lüderitz to reorganize mathematics teaching (1909)

Resumo: | This article aims to investigate whether the reorganization of mathematics teaching, especially in the form of vocational education, originated under the influence of observations made and reported by João Lüderitz during his visits to educational institutions in Europe and the United States in 1909. To theoretically support this analysis, concepts such as expert and expertise were explored. The sources consulted include travel reports, teaching programs and other documentation. The results reveal that, after returning to Brazil, Lüderitz began a significant process of curricular modifications at the Instituto Técnico-Profissional, including the reorganization of mathematics teaching, inspired by foreign models. As a result of this work, in 1920, Lüderitz was hired to preside over the Technical Education Remodeling Service in Brazil. |

Los resultados revelan que, después de regresar a Brasil, Lüderitz inició un importante proceso de modificaciones curriculares en el Instituto Técnico-Profissional, incluida la reorganización de la enseñanza de las matemáticas. Como resultado de este trabajo, en 1920, Lüderitz fue contratado para presidir el Servicio de Remodelación de la Educación Técnica en Brasil.Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar se a reorganização do ensino de matemática, especialmente na modalidade de ensino profissionalizante, teve origem sob a influência das observações feitas e relatadas por João Lüderitz durante suas visitas a instituições de ensino na Europa e nos Estados Unidos, em 1909. Para embasar teoricamente essa análise, foram explorados conceitos como expert e expertise. As fontes consultadas compreendem o relatório das viagens de Lüderitz (1909), programas de ensino e outras documentações. Os resultados revelam que, após retornar ao Brasil, Lüderitz iniciou um significativo processo de modificações curriculares no Instituto Técnico-Profissional, incluindo a reorganização do ensino de matemática, inspirado em modelos estrangeiros.
