“Pesquisa em educação: métodos e epistemologias” is the work of Silvio Ancisar Sanchez Gamboa, professor at the Faculdade de Educação at Unicamp, which has three published editions (2007, 2012 and 2018). In the last edition, the work is organized in introduction, ten chapters and final considerations. The book begins with a critical analysis by the author of published texts about scientific research. The following ten chapters, on the other hand, include articles published in journals and communications presented at congresses in different countries. The texts share the problem of research in Education, based on epistemological and philosophical bases. It is noticeable the influence of the author's formation in this production from the deepening of reflections in the field of educational research, offering a unique contribution that incites questions about the formation of researchers at all levels and about the progress of academic production in the field of Education.
