Resumo: Social cartography constitutes a theoretical-methodological approach to analyze and understand the processes of social and educational participation. In this approach, reality is culturally constructed by people through their interpersonal experiences that influence the perception of their community and representation of coexistence relationships. This article, through a qualitative study approach, studies the importance of social cartography for the construction of citizenship and analyzes the educational practices developed by a group of young students in the Political Science degree at the Autonomous Metropolitan University, Iztapalapa Campus. in October 2019. The findings indicate that there are various educational and cultural expressions on the perception of territory, politics, narratives, and social practices that influence the construction of active citizenship and that are key to promoting democratic culture.

En este enfoque la realidad es construida culturalmente por las personas a través de sus experiencias interpersonales que influyen en la percepción de su comunidad y representación sobre las relaciones de coexistencia. Este artículo, a través de un enfoque de estudio cualitativo, estudia la importancia de la cartografía social para la construcción de ciudadanía y analiza las prácticas educativas desarrolladas por un grupo de jóvenes estudiantes en la licenciatura de Ciencia Política en la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Campus Iztapalapa en octubre de 2019. Los hallazgos indican que existen diversas expresiones educativas y culturales sobre la percepción del territorio, la política, las narrativas y las prácticas sociales que influyen en la construcción de ciudadanía activa y que son claves para impulsar la cultura democrática.A cartografia social constitui uma abordagem teórico-metodológica para analisar e compreender os processos de participação social e educacional. Nessa abordagem, a realidade é construída culturalmente pelas pessoas por meio de suas experiências interpessoais que influenciam a percepção de sua comunidade e a representação das relações de convivência. Este artigo, através de uma abordagem de estudo qualitativo, estuda a importância da cartografia social para a construção da cidadania e analisa as práticas educativas desenvolvidas por um grupo de jovens estudantes do curso de Ciência Política da Universidade Autônoma Metropolitana, Campus Iztapalapa. em outubro de 2019.
