Departamento de Educação, Instituto de Ciências Humanas e Sociais, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto.Este trabalho buscou identificar o protagonismo das pensadoras negras Petronilha Beatriz Gonçalves e Silva e Nilma Lino Gomes no processo de elaboração e implementação de políticas de Ação Afirmativa no Brasil a partir do início do segundo milênio. Nosso percurso metodológico deu-se por meio da identificação e análise de parte da produção teórica de ambas, a quem nomeamos de intelectuais insurgentes, tomando como referência o conceito defendido pela intelectual afro-americana Bell Hooks. Buscamos compreender de que modo as “pedagogias revolucionárias de resistência” (HOOKS, 2013) identificadas nas práticas adotadas por Petronilha Beatriz Gonçalves e Silva e Nilma Lino Gomes nos movimentos sociais, na Academia e nos espaços de poder impactaram no debate em torno da persistência do racismo no Brasil, como também nas mudanças ocorridas na legislação educacional nas últimas duas décadas. Buscamos ainda empreender um estudo acerca da relevância das produções teóricas elaboradas por mulheres negras que, em um movimento bastante recente, têm ingressado nas universidades na condição de professoras e pesquisadoras, assumindo o compromisso de colaborar para a afirmação do campo da Educação das Relações Étnico- Raciais e também para a promoção da justiça racial. Ao indagarmos a centralidade das intelectuais negras no processo de emancipação dos sujeitos afro-brasileiros, tomamos de empréstimo sobremaneira as contribuições teóricas da já referida Bell Hooks, da acadêmica Claudia Miranda e também do geógrafo baiano Milton Santos. A partir de suas contribuições, indagamos as lutas e enfrentamentos tecidos por essas mulheres para o estabelecimento de um pensamento feminino negro.This work sought to identify the role of black thinkers Petronilha Beatriz Gonçalves e Silva and Nilma Lino Gomes in the process of elaboration and implementation of affirmative action policies in Brazil from the beginning of the second millennium. Our methodological course was based on the identification and analysis of part of the theoretical production of both, which we call insurgent intellectuals, taking as a reference the concept defended by the african-american intellectual bell hooks. We sought to understand how the "revolutionary pedagogies of resistance" (HOOKS, 2013) identified in the practices adopted by Petronilha Beatriz Gonçalves e Silva and Nilma Lino Gomes in social movements, in the Academy and in spaces of power have impacted the debate about the persistence of racism in Brazil, as well as changes in educational legislation in the last two decades. We also intend to undertake a study about the relevance of the theoretical productions elaborated by black women who, in a very recent movement, have entered the universities as teachers and researchers, assuming the commitment to collaborate with the affirmation of the field of Ethnic-Racial Relations and also for the promotion of racial justice. When we inquired about the centrality of black intellectuals in the process of emancipation of Afro-Brazilians, we borrowed the theoretical contributions of the aforementioned bell hooks from the academic Claudia Miranda and also from the bahian geographer Milton Santos.
