Mais precisamente, questiona a Escola, como espaço privilegiado para a construção dessa cidadania para se propor uma reflexão sobre a necessidade dessa instituição apropriar desse patrimônio para fundamentar o seu projeto de trabalho, o Projeto Político-Pedagógico – PPP, para que se constitua instrumento capaz de fomentar uma educação sob a perspectiva da valorização cultural sustentável por seu direcionamento. Isso é válido quando grande parcela da população reside nas periferias e não participa ativamente da vida social da cidade gerando dicotomias (a periferia, a pobreza e o centro histórico, a riqueza) e acentuando as desigualdades sociais a ponto de os moradores dessas localidades não reconhecerem e se apropriarem desse legado. Investiga os fenômenos de ocupação urbana, que levam a maioria da população desse município a construir suas edificações em terrenos de estrutura geomorfológica inadequada mediante a exploração submetida pela economia mineradora, a contrastar com o esplêndido acervo do século XVIII, conservado e preservado (o que justifica o título de patrimônio cultural da humanidade e gera as riquezas provenientes do turismo e de outras fontes presumidamente, para toda a sua população). Os resultados da pesquisa realizada nas escolas estaduais de Ouro Preto, somados às observações da pesquisadora, apontam para a necessidade de o Projeto Político-Pedagógico conter embasamento suficiente para referendar o processo educacional tendo em vista a atuação do cidadão nesse patrimônio. Ademais, o estudo reconhece a importância da inserção dos conhecimentos do ponto de vista acadêmico para dialogar com os culturais, nesse texto-documento. Avalia, portanto, a possibilidade da criação de um Comitê de Interlocução para auxiliar essas escolas na construção de suas propostas (PPPs), para que o patrimônio Ouro Preto seja conhecido e usufruído por todos, convertendo-se em fator de desenvolvimento econômico e social sob a perspectiva da cultura sustentável.The research has questioned the situation of citizenship from Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais. More precisely, it has questioned the School, as a privileged space for the construction of this citizenship in order to propose a reflection on the needing about this institution feeling owner of these assets in order to support its project work, the Political-edagogical Project - PPP, so that it has become an instrument able to foster an education to the perspective of sustainable cultural appreciation for his guidance. It has questioned still the condition of citizenship when large portion of the population lives in peripheric places, and doesn´t participate actively in the social life of the city, producing dichotomies (the periphery, poverty and the historic center, wealth) and accentuating social inequalities once the residents of these localities don´t recognize and take ownership of this legacy. It has nvestigated the urban occupation of phenomena, which led the majority of the population of the municipality to build their buildings in inadequate geomorphological structure of land by exploiting submitted by the mining economy, contrasting with the splendid collection of eighteenth century, maintained and preserved one (which justifies the title of Cultural Heritage of Humanity and generates wealth from tourism and other sources presumably, for its entire population). The results of the survey has conducted Ouro Preto´s , in addition to the researcher´s observations have evidenced the needing of the political-pedagogical project contain sufficient basis to endorsing the educational process with a view to citizen involvement in this asset. Furthermore, the study recognizes the importance of integration of knowledge from the academic point of view in order to dialogue with the cultural, this textdocument.
