Resumo: This paper aims to retrace and develop the blanchotian concepts of “point of origin” and désoeuvrement (that translates both to un-work and worklessness) in an effort to comprehend its relations with writing as a means for politics and revolution. With that in mind, the present study retraces a few points of Blanchot’s reading of Hegel through Alexandre Kojève, especially in his 1947 essay “Literature and the right to death”, and its subsequent dialogue with Jean-Paul Sartre. Later, we approach Blanchot’s displacement of Novalis’ thoughts in his essay “The Atheneum”, where he develops and radicalizes his views of revolution through language.
