Resumo: O objetivo deste texto é realizar uma articulação teórica do conceito gestáltico de ajustamento criativo e a subalternidade que afeta a autoestima de mulheres negras e lésbicas. A criatividade é uma estratégia de enfrentamento existencial que favorece a atualização da autocompreensão e o desvelamento dos jogos de poder presentes na cultura. Subalternidade refere a inferioridade, a dependência e a dominação presentes nas camadas mais baixas da sociedade, constituída pelos modos específicos de exclusão. O ajustamento criativo beneficia a identificação com seu corpo, sua cor, sua sexualidade; amar-se, e apreciar cognitivamente seu valor pessoal. Pertencer a um grupo familiar constitui a primeira fronteira da aprendizagem social do autorreconhecimento; seguida pela vinculação ao grupo de pares, de trabalho, de lazer, etc. Deste modo a afirmação da identidade e da saúde mental da mulher negra e lésbica requer estratégias criativas, pessoais e coletivas de superação da subalternidade.

Creativity is an existential coping strategy that favors the updating of self-understanding and the unveiling of power plays in culture. Subalternity refers to inferiority, dependence, and domination present in the lowest strata of society, constituted by the specific modes of exclusion. Creative adjustment benefits identification with your body, your color, your sexuality; love, and cognitively appreciate your personal worth.
