READING TRAINING IN BASIC EDUCATION: POSSIBILITIES THROUGH THE SEMIOTIC BIAS

Resumo: | For the construction of knowledge, the frequency of reading is a necessary practice, both in and out of school. And this is a constant concern of experts in the field: how to promote reading in the basic education classroom so that students become protagonistsof this action beyond the school institution? Thinking that the frequency of the act of reading added to the taste justifies the promotion of a competent reader, this text proposes to contribute to the debate on the contribution that Greimasian discourse semiotics can offer to the training of readers in basic education. To this end, we sought support especially in the studies of researchers who believe in the possibilities of didactic application of semiotics for reading and text production in the classroom, such as Fiorin (2004; 2011), Simões e Melo (2011), Barros( 2011), Teixeira (2014; 2021), Lima (2021), as well as Rastier (2010; 2015) on education and the symbolic debt. Therefore, it is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. For this text, we start from the idea that it is possible to use semiotics as a methodology to help awaken the student the practice that stimulates the taste for reading, since, knowing what to explore in the text, the reader feels more motivated to read it. |

E esta é uma preocupação constante de especialistas da área: como promover a leitura em sala de aula de educação básica demodo que os alunos se tornem protagonistas dessa ação para além da instituição educativa? Pensando que a frequência do ato de ler agregada ao gostar substancia a promoção de um leitor competente, este texto propõe fomentar o debate sobre a contribuição que a semiótica do discurso de base greimasiana pode oferecer para a formação leitora na educação básica. Para tanto, buscamos apoio especialmente nos estudos de pesquisadores que acreditam nas possibilidades de aplicação didática da semiótica para a leitura e a produção do texto em sala de aula, a exemplo de Fiorin (2004; 2011), Simões e Melo (2011), Barros (2011), Teixeira (2014; 2021), Lima (2021), além de Rastier (2010; 2015)sobre educação e dívida simbólica. Trata-se, portanto, de uma pesquisa bibliográfica de abordagem qualitativa.
